# Terms of Service

Canonical page: https://embroideryfileconverter.com/terms

Effective date: July 19, 2026

Read the terms governing automated embroidery digitising, stitch-file conversion, viewers, accounts, credits, subscriptions and downloads.

## Service provider and agreement

Embroidery File Converter is provided by MTTenterprise Inc., 201-1525 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K1G 0G1, Canada. These Terms govern the website, public file viewers, automated image digitising, embroidery file conversion, account workspace, credits, subscriptions, downloads and related services.

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement and must comply with applicable law.

## Accounts and guest credit purchases

You are responsible for accurate account information, credential security and activity performed through your account. Limited viewers and processing may be available without an account.

When a guest purchases credits, the Service creates or reuses an account for the checkout email and sends a secure password-setup link. MTTenterprise may require email verification or device checks to prevent quota and payment abuse.

## Automated embroidery results

Image digitising creates a new software-generated stitch plan from artwork. File conversion translates existing stitch data. Viewers render supported machine files for inspection.

A software-validated file or preview does not guarantee a successful physical sew-out. Fabric, stabilizer, thread, needle, hoop, machine settings, density and format limitations affect production. Users must inspect dimensions, thread order and compatibility and test-sew files before production.

## User files and intellectual property

Users retain ownership of submitted content and grant MTTenterprise a limited license to host, copy, transform and transmit it only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service. Users must own or have permission to process submitted artwork and create derivative embroidery files.

MTTenterprise owns the Service software, interface, workflows, documentation, trademarks and underlying technology.

## Acceptable use

Users may not upload malicious files, bypass quotas or payment controls, scrape or reverse engineer the Service, infringe third-party rights, share accounts, misrepresent automated output as manually reviewed, or use the Service for unlawful or abusive activity.

## Plans, limits and credits

Free allowances, paid plan limits and credit costs are displayed in the Service and may differ between image digitising and file conversion. Purchased credits do not expire while an account remains active, but may be reversed after refunds, chargebacks, fraud or correction of an erroneous grant. Credits have no cash value and are not transferable.

## Billing, renewals and cancellation

Stripe processes payments. MTTenterprise does not receive or store full card numbers. Recurring plans automatically renew at the disclosed interval until cancelled through the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; paid access ordinarily continues through the current billing period.

Except where required by law or stated at checkout, paid fees are non-refundable. Used credit purchases are not refundable. Duplicate charges, non-delivery and unused purchases may be reviewed individually. Non-waivable consumer rights remain available.

## Privacy and AI-assisted features

The [Privacy Policy](https://embroideryfileconverter.com/privacy) describes collection, file retention, quota-abuse controls and deletion rights. When enabled, certain features may transmit artwork or a rendered preview to a third-party AI provider for palette analysis, digitising recommendations or a visual thread simulation.

## Availability and termination

The Service is provided without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free availability. MTTenterprise may modify features and formats and may suspend access for non-payment, security risk, legal requirements, repeated abuse or a material breach.

## Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties. MTTenterprise does not guarantee physical production results, exact colour matching or compatibility with every machine.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MTTenterprise is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, production losses, damaged materials, lost profits or lost data. Total liability will not exceed the greater of CAD $100 or fees paid during the previous 12 months. This does not limit liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

## Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by Ontario law and applicable federal Canadian law. Subject to non-waivable local consumer rights, disputes will be brought in Ottawa, Ontario.
