# Convert XXX to KSM online

> Convert a XXX embroidery file to KSM online while preserving supported dimensions, stitch paths, colour stops and thread information. Preview the result before download.

## Quick answer

Yes. A supported XXX embroidery file can be converted to KSM. The converter preserves the existing dimensions and stitch path wherever the KSM format supports them, then validates the output.

## Visual simulation

The XXX file already contains stitches. Conversion carries those stitches into KSM wherever the output format supports the same commands. Some formats store full colour information, while others store only colour-change stops. You may need to assign your preferred thread chart at the machine.

## How it works

1. **Upload artwork or a stitch file** — Choose embroidery files for private conversion
2. **Choose conversion outputs** — Choose the format your machine expects.
3. **Output validation** — Check dimensions, stitch count, thread count, jumps, trims, colour changes, and the final end command.
