What should I save in an embroidery machine profile?

Save a recognizable name, manufacturer, model, thread library, maximum colors, maximum stitch count, supported file formats, preferred output, and usable hoop dimensions.

Can I limit embroidery colors and stitch count before creating a PES file?

Yes. Set a maximum from 1 to 24 thread colors and a stitch-count ceiling up to 250,000. The digitising engine uses the color ceiling and rejects a generated PES or other machine file when its stitch count exceeds your selected maximum.

Do machine profiles change the embroidery file automatically?

A profile supplies reusable defaults and hard production checks. Digitising can map artwork to the saved starter thread library, while Studio and batch jobs enforce its hoop, maximum-color, and maximum-stitch limits; you still review every preview before sewing.

Can I save more than one hoop for the same machine?

Yes. Create a separate, clearly named profile for each machine-and-hoop setup you use in production.
